American Author Ian Toll Giving a Public Lecture at International Black Sea University

An American author and political/military historian Ian Toll gave a public lecture at International Black Sea University. The lecture was attending by BA English Philology and BA American Studies students and Professors. Ian Tolls is known for his examination of US federal government decision making and international maritime conflicts.

His books have won broad critical acclaim and were selected for the Samuel Eliot Morison Award, the William E. Colby Award, and New York Times ‘Editor’s Choice’ list. Mr. Toll gave an interesting overview of how the American nation was formed and democratic values they developed. He also touch a recent hot topic of elections in the United States. Students showed a great interest in the lecturer and asked many questions concerning the US democracy, history, elections and future perspectives in the US and Georgia relationship. The Faculty of Education and Humanities would like to thank the US Embassy to Georgia for providing our students with this wonderful opportunity.
