Program Description

The goal of the Master of Business Administration in Finance program is to prepare competent specialists with theoretical knowledge and practical skills of management, scientific research and creative skills. The task of the program is to prepare specialists who have deep and systemic knowledge in the fields of finances. In addition to theoretical issues, courses include interactive seminars and practice training, presentations and group work that will make it easier for the Student to analyze the theoretical and practical problems in the field of financing, as well as in real business-sensitivity and management. Students’ aspirations and desires, international trends of financial markets and industry development and specifics of our country are taken into consideration in the teaching process.

The task of the program is to get closer to student practice as internships in the private and public sector organizations, as well as various forms of active cooperation with professional circles. For this purpose, in addition to other activities in the program, the relations with the financial sector are envisaged, with which the University has signed memorandums on mutual cooperation.

Admission to the Program 

Candidates for master’s degree who are citizens of Georgia are required the following to be admitted to the program:

• Bachelor’s or equivalent academic degree;
• successfully passing the general master’s exam;
• Passing intra-university exams in the specialty;
• Passing the B2 level foreign language intra-university exam;

Please, consider the following!

• Applicants who have an international certificate proving their knowledge of a foreign language at the B2 level are exempted from passing the foreign language exam;
• The applicant is exempted from passing the foreign language exam if he/she has completed a foreign language educational program;
• For candidates who are not in Georgia, the admission exam(s) for the master’s program can be conducted online;
• In case of equal points, the GPA of the master’s degree candidate is considered in terms of the contest conditions;
• Exam(s) in the specialty are conducted in the program instruction language.

Required documents:

• 2 photos (3X4) (printed and in electronic form). Photos are sent electronically to the educational process management unit, if the application is not made through the electronic system;
• CV;

• Notarized copy of bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma (in the case of a diploma issued in a foreign language – notarized translation) – in the case of a diploma issued by IBSU, notarization of the copy is not mandatory;
• In case the applicant presents a diploma obtained as a result of completing at least a five-year program within the period defined by the Law of Georgia “On Higher Education”, the candidate must also present a recognition document issued in accordance with the law, which proves that the diploma is equivalent to the corresponding level.
• Copy of identification card/passport (for foreign citizens – notarized translation);
• International certificate confirming a foreign language proficiency / document confirming the academic degree awarded as a result of the completion of the foreign language program – diploma and appendix.
• A document of military registration issued in accordance with the law.

For Georgian Citizens: 3540 GEL
For International Students: 9900 GEL

Discounts:

If you have already earned the right to pursue a Master’s degree at the International Black Sea University, you will receive a 20% discount if you enroll in the registration period specified by the Graduate School. This grant is not subject to the terms of grant maintenance.

For Ukrainian citizen:

A citizen of Ukraine who enrolls in any educational program of the University (at all three levels) will receive a 50% discount on the tuition fee during the study period specified in the program. (4 years for bachelor, 2 years for master, 3 years for doctorate).

The discount applies to:
A) students who will be enrolled from 2022 – 2023;
B) restores the status:
