Michał Małafiejski

Michał Małafiejski currently holds a postition of Associate Professor at the Department of Algorithms and System Modelling at the Gdańsk University of Technology in Poland. He received M.Sc. in computer science and M.Sc. in mathematics. He defended the Ph.D. thesis in the area of theoretical computer science in 2002, honored with the award of Prime Minister of Poland. In 2014 he defended his habilitation (D.Sc.). Main area of his research are the design of efficient algorithms and the analysis of mathematical properties (including computational complexity) of discrete optimization problems. He has published more than 60 papers related to the theoretical computer science, operation research and discrete mathematics, including 28 papers from JCR (WoS) list, with more than 150 citations and h-factor (WoS) equal to 7.
