IBSU is currently a partner in 4 international projects.

TEMPUS – MAHATMA

WIDER OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

To promote transformation of higher education management in Armenia and Georgia through introduction of a new Master’s programme/professional development courses in higher education management.

 THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT: 

1. development of a Master’s programme/PDC in HE Management;
2. introduction of a learning outcome approach to teaching, learning and student assessment methods;
3. enhancement of the institutional capacity to implement the new Master’s programme/PDCs (teaching and learning and management of the programme;
4. promotion of a change dialogue between the education stakeholders thorough establishment of a Professional Association of Educationalists leading to system transformation.

The principal outputs and outcomes of the project are enhancement of higher education management through training educational leaders able to handle the change complexities. The development and launch of the Master’s programme and respective professional development courses will encompass the integration of innovative teaching, learning and higher education management methods.

Alignment with and implementation of the Bologna process will inform curriculum development and Quality Assurance standards and benchmarks will ensure the quality of both the process and the products. The Professional Association of Educationalists will promote the enhancement of the higher education systems of Armenia and Georgia through an active change dialogue, experience exchange and research in the field of higher education.

TEMPUS – CASEDE

WIDER OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

The wider objective of the project is to improve Georgian students’ employability by developing and implementing career education services (CES) in Georgian HEI and ensuring unbiased evaluation of CES, as well as wide dissemination and sustainability of the project results.

 THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT: 

The following specific objectives have been formulated for achieving the wider objective of the project:

1.     To prepare methodological and IT tools for providing CES for students at Georgian HEI;

2.     To train the staff of Georgian partner HEI to provide CES for students;

3.     To implement pilot CES for students at Georgian partner HEI;

4.     To explore possibilities for CES implementation at all Georgian HEI;

5.     To organize dissemination of the project results in periodical press, at the website and using other dissemination channels.

TEMPUS – LaMANCHE

WIDER OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

The La MANCHE project’s overall objective is to promote the modernization of the Higher Education in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine by:

1. building governance and management capacities at the participating Higher Education Institutions
2. initiating sustainable dialogue on the HE reforms among relevant interest groups
3. empowering students to become more actively involved in decision making at the Higher Education Institutions.

 THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:

1.      To map out current leadership skills and prevalent management models at PC HEIs in view of identifying areas for capacity building;

2.      To map out the broader environment in which HE modernization processes in PCs evolve, and to analyze local trends and practices of dealing with change at institutional level;

3.      To transfer context-sensitive good governance practices and models for leadership and change management from EU HEIs to PC HEIs;

4.      To build the leadership capacity of PC HEIs senior management;

5.      To involve EU and PC HEI leaders in interactive peer learning in the field of HE governance;

6.      To provide a platform for dialogue and to enhance interaction between PC HEIs and the other key stakeholders in HE; in particular, to stimulate grassroots leadership initiatives among students;

7.      To develop and promote a context-sensitive strategy for leading and managing change in HE in the region;

8.      To raise awareness on the European HE modernization agenda and the need for HES reform in PC.
