Visit of representatives from ’’Springer“ Publications

On November 18, Vice-Rector for Science and Research, Prof. Dr. Ilays Ustunyer met with the representatives from one of the world largest publications "Springer", with Dr. Jeffrey Robens  (Editorial Development Manager) and Mr. Thafeer Atta (Licensing Manager, Middle East and Central Asia Regions) at International Black Sea University.

Dr. Jeffrey Robens presented topic on "Springer Activities", where he explained to the audience the peculiarities and advantages of "Springer" publications. Mr. Jeffrey mentioned about the databases and new types of services of Springer, such as editorial guidance, which includes the promotion and support of researchers, visuality of research papers and their authors, the development of scientific journals in order to get indexed internationally. He emphasized the conditions and requirements of "Web of Science" and "Scopus" to obtain the international classifications of indexing.

The meeting was attended by the deans of the faculties, editor in chiefs and editor assistants of IBSU scientific journals and administrative staff. The meeting was very productive, where Springer representatives answered a lot of interesting questions.
