{"id":46921,"date":"2024-10-17T18:28:15","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T14:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibsu.edu.ge\/?post_type=iro&#038;p=46921"},"modified":"2026-02-20T17:37:52","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T13:37:52","slug":"admission","status":"publish","type":"iro","link":"https:\/\/ibsu.edu.ge\/en\/iro\/admission\/","title":{"rendered":"Study at IBSU"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_accordion el_class=&#8221;iro&#8221;][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;About us&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1730354425-1-33&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a tabindex=\"-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ibsu.edu.ge\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Black Sea University\u00a0<\/a>is accredited and authorized higher education institution in Georgia, and offers 26-degree programs in English in three cycles: first (bachelor\u2019s), second (master\u2019s) and third (Ph.D.) in education and humanities, computer technologies and engineering, business management, and social sciences.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Rules for enrollment of international students&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1730354425-2-39&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a tabindex=\"-1\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1liNJW-Tn2rd_kv9SbV_mYQfAvZVBvyqW&amp;authuser=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1liNJW-Tn2rd_kv9SbV_mYQfAvZVBvyqW&amp;authuser=0\">Rules for enrollment of international students<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Studying without passing the unified national exams&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;173035442556-2-39&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Description<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Requirements set for entrants\/students with the right to study without passing the unified national exams<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Full information can be found in the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia dated December 29, 2011 No. 224\/N &#8220;On approval of the procedure for submission and review of documents by entrants\/students who have the right to study in a higher educational institution without passing unified national exams&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>According to this regulation, studying without passing the unified national exams is permitted:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) for foreign nationals and stateless individuals who obtained a full general education or its equivalent abroad; or for foreign nationals and stateless individuals (apart from those who simultaneously hold Georgian citizenship) who obtained a full general education or its equivalent in Georgia in accordance with foreign or international programs acknowledged by Georgia;<\/p>\n<p>b) for Georgian nationals who completed their last two years of a full general education program abroad and obtained a full general education there, or its equivalent;<\/p>\n<p>c) for foreign nationals who have studied and obtained credits or qualifications in a foreign higher education institution that is accredited in line with this country&#8217;s legal requirements (apart from students taking part in joint higher education programs and exchange students);<\/p>\n<p>d) for Georgian citizens who, during one of their semesters in an educational institution, spent at least 75 days studying abroad at a higher education institution recognized by this country&#8217;s laws (apart from students taking part in joint higher education programs and exchange education programs), and who lived, studied, and received credits or qualifications abroad. (See the conditions outlined in the aforementioned rule\u00a0 &#8220;Article 2, Clause 8, subparagraph f&#8221;).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;For degree seeking students&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1730354425-2-40&#8243;][vc_column_text]To apply to study at IBSU, please see the attached<a href=\"https:\/\/ibsu.edu.ge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/IBSU-ADMISSION-GUIDELINES-2025.17.12.docx\"><strong> guidelines<\/strong><\/a> and fill out the electronic <a href=\"https:\/\/ibsu.edu.ge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/IBSU-Application_Form_2026-.docx\"><strong>application form<\/strong><\/a> and send it along with additional documents to our email address admission@ibsu.edu.ge.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy of passport (notarized and translated into Georgian)<\/li>\n<li>School graduation certificate\/Bachelor\u2019s diploma\/Master\u2019s diploma (notarized and translated into Georgian)<\/li>\n<li>Marksheet (notarized and translated into Georgian)<\/li>\n<li>Resume (CV) and cover letter<\/li>\n<li>International certificate of English language (IELTS \u2013 6.0; TOEFL \u2013 78) or other<\/li>\n<li>A certificate of B2 level recognized accordingly (for those bachelors who have graduated in English, as well as for masters and doctors who have completed a higher education program in English, providing a certificate is not mandatory, however those who do not have certificate are obliged to take IBSU organized test).<\/li>\n<li>In case of international degree mobility (transfer), the applicant is obliged to submit:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Passport<\/li>\n<li>Official transcript from the home university<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After the successful completion of all preparatory procedures, the applicant\u2019s documents are uploaded to the electronic portal of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement by the IBSU International Relations Office team. (see link: <a href=\"https:\/\/sda.gov.ge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/sda.gov.ge\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Residence permit registration fee:<br \/>\n30th calendar day \u2013 300 GEL<br \/>\n20th calendar day \u2013 450 GEL<br \/>\n10th calendar day \u2013 600 GEL<\/p>\n<p>Applicants will have to visit the\u00a0<a tabindex=\"-1\" href=\"http:\/\/psh.gov.ge\/index.php?sec_id=1&amp;lang_id=ENG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Public Service Hall<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0personally\u00a0to submit all the required documents.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Visa Information&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1730354425-5-39&#8243;][vc_column_text]To study in Georgia, the applicant must already be enrolled in the International Black Sea University. To get a visa, the applicant must fill in an appropriate application (see the link <a href=\"https:\/\/mfa.gov.ge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/mfa.gov.ge<\/a>).
