tab_id=&#8221;1741074897-1-49&#8243;][vc_column_text]IBSU participated and its academic staff conducted online training in \u201cJunior Achievement Georgia\u201d (NGO) and USAID project: \u201cPankisi Community Links\u201d sub-project \u201cTeaching Business Concepts in Schools of Pankisi Valley\u201d; Within the framework of the project, the \u201cJunior Achievement\u201d program \u201cBe an Entrepreneur\u201d was implemented in all seven schools of Pankisi Valley in the tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the university implements the program \u201cBe an Entrepreneur\u201d aiming to promote entrepreneurial initiatives by students in the upper classes by studying the main components of a business plan.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_nested_accordion_tab][vc_nested_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Computational Social Sciences for Development&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1741074897-2-38&#8243;][vc_column_text]In February 2023, International Black Sea University won the first grant competition announced by the \u201cCompetitive Innovation Fund (CIF)\u201d with the project: \u201cComputational Social Sciences for Development\u201d The following universities involved in the project: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, International Black Sea University and Akaki Tsereteli State University (Kutaisi).<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of CIF is to develop specific directions for higher educational institutions, modernize academic programs and learning environments, and strengthen connections with the labor market; The project is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the World Bank.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_nested_accordion_tab][vc_nested_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Digital Literacy and Multimedia Journalism&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1741074897-1-50&#8243;][vc_column_text]The project \u201cDigital Literacy and Multimedia Journalism\u201d sponsored by the US Embassy took place from April 15 to November 15, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The main goal of the project was to develop students\u2019 skills in fact-checking and creating multimedia journalistic products.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2022, the administration of schools of journalism of the four universities involved in the project (GIPA, CU, UG, and IBSU) selected three students each to undergo internships at the Media Development Fund (MDF), in particular, at the fund\u2019s \u201cLaboratory of Myths\u201d project. The first orientation meeting with the interns was held in MDF on May 11, 2022. After that, students worked remotely from home.
