German and Georgian professors have led a public lecture on personal data protection issues at an event organised by the IBSU School of Law and State Governance.<\/p>\n

The School’s dean, Affiliated Professor Irakli Shamatava, addressed students and attendees, thanking them for their participation and noting that public lectures featuring foreign and Georgian professors would continue intensively in future. The dean extended special thanks to International Black Sea University Professor Tinatin Erkvania for organising and supporting the event.<\/p>\n

Professor Dr. Heiko Jonny Maniero, a member of the American Bar Association and International Bar Association and a certified data protection officer in Germany, presented a lecture entitled “Data Protection in Practice: Hacking – Social Engineering – IT Security”.<\/p>\n

Alongside the foreign professor, presentations were delivered by IBSU Affiliated Associate Professor Shavleg Todua and visiting lecturer Tamar Shudra, a data protection expert at DPT Consulting. Professor Todua lectured on “Data Security as a Principle in Georgian Legislation and Its Practical Aspects”, while Shudra’s topic was “Personal Data Security Measures for Organisations (General Overview)”.<\/p>\n

The public lecture included a Q&A session, during which students received expert answers to their queries.<\/p>\n
