Knowledge of the relevant teaching language at least B2 level.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Associate Professor<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Doctor&#8217;s or equivalent academic degree in the relevant direction\/field;<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 (three) years of scientific-pedagogical work experience;<\/li>\n<li>During the last 5 (five) years, in the relevant direction, documents confirming at least 2 scientific activities, including 1 publication published in a refereed scientific journal.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the relevant teaching language at least B2 level.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong><strong>ssistant Professor<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Doctor&#8217;s or equivalent academic degree in the relevant direction\/field;<\/li>\n<li>During the last 5 (five) years, 1 publication published in the relevant scientific journal.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the relevant teaching language at least B2 level.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a possibility to obtain academic positions by qualified personnel, based on <strong>professional merit<\/strong>. In this case, the qualification of the candidate may be confirmed by the professional experience, special training and\/or publications. The candidate may be considered as correspondingly qualified, if she\/he has a qualification necessary for developing learning outcomes and meets the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>a) Holds at least Master\u2019s or equivalent degree.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>In order to obtain an academic position based on professional merit, qualification necessary for developing the learning outcomes are defined in accordance with the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>b) Work experience in the relevant field \u2013 at least 4 (four) years for an assistant professor, at least 6 (six) years for an associate professor and at least 8 (eight) years for a professor;<\/li>\n<li>c) Publications published in refereed scientific or professional journals in the last 5 (five) years in the relevant field &#8211; at least one publication for an associate professor, at least two publications for a professor, or special training in the relevant field, which is confirmed by his\/her professional experience;<\/li>\n<li>d) Knowledge of the relevant teaching language (at least B2 level).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicants must submit the following documents (in hard copies and electronic form) to the University:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Job Application (please see the attached document);<\/li>\n<li>Copy of identity card\/ID card (in case of foreign citizen, notarized translation of passport\/copy of residence permit (if any);<\/li>\n<li>Georgian language diploma and\/or a notarized translation of a diploma\/certificate issued by a foreign country. If the diploma has not yet been issued, it is necessary to submit the certificate of graduation. In addition, the diploma issued by a foreign country must be recognized in accordance with the legislation of Georgia and a notarized copy of the document confirming the recognition must be presented;<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of scientific-pedagogical activity;<\/li>\n<li>CV in Georgian and English;<\/li>\n<li>List of scientific works and publications relevant to the field and their copies (within the last 5 years);<\/li>\n<li>Syllabus;<\/li>\n<li>Certificate from the former\/current job (except International Black Sea University);<\/li>\n<li>Document\/certificate confirming participation in trainings and conferences (if any);<\/li>\n<li>A copy of the international certificate confirming the language proficiency level of the foreign program\/study course\/a copy of the document confirming the higher education received in the relevant foreign language (if necessary). In the case of a document issued in a foreign language &#8211; a notarized translation and copy or a document confirming the conduct of lecture courses in the relevant language;<\/li>\n<li>Other documentation corresponding to the established criteria for the vacancy of an academic position;<\/li>\n<li>In case of holding an academic position with a professional designation, documents confirming the professional designation;<\/li>\n<li>In the case of a document issued in a non-state language (except for certificates), it is mandatory to submit a notarized Georgian translation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Short listed candidates should additionally submit:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Police Clearance Certificate for crime against sexual freedom and inviolability and Certificate of deprivation of right;<\/li>\n<li>2 photos (3&#215;4) \u2013 printed version as well as electronic (on CD or email);<\/li>\n<li>Account from Bank of Georgia;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>It is recommended that the selected candidates sign an affiliation agreement with the university.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Interested persons are encouraged to submit the required documents (hard copy and electronic version) during May 17 \u2013 May 23 (from 14:00 to 16:00) 2025 to the Human Resources Management and Development Department of the International Black Sea University.
