“Choosing the International Black Sea University as my priority was one of the right decisions I made. The American Studies undergraduate programme allows me to gain practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge.

I study fascinating subjects and deepen my understanding of the history, politics, culture and international relations of one of the world’s most influential nations – the United States of America. The programme is taught in English, which also helps develop my language and professional skills.

From the first year, we gain general knowledge about America through professional subjects. For instance, “Introduction to American Studies” provides a thorough introduction to the fundamental themes that shape this field. Within this subject, I study America’s political system, constitutional foundations, historical events, cultural dynamics and its global influence. This subject serves as an excellent starting point for those who wish to understand the complex nature of America as a state and its role in the contemporary world. “American Landmarks”, meanwhile, focuses on cultural and visual aspects. Through this subject, we study America’s famous cities, national parks, and architectural and historical sites, which helps us better understand the country’s identity and diversity.”
