#ExchangeStudent: Saba Matcharashvili | Instituto Politécnico de Bragança

Meet Saba Matcharashvili, a 3rd year student of the English-taught Computer Science program at #IBSU, who is continuing his studies for one semester through the Erasmus+ exchange program in a double degree program – at the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Portugal.

“Olá! I’m Saba, Even though I recently started my journey here, it has already been an unforgettable experience. Bragança is a peaceful and welcoming city surrounded by nature, and the people here are incredibly friendly. The academic environment at IPB is inspiring, with professors who encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and hands-on learning, which makes every class engaging and practical.

Being part of this international community has opened my eyes to new cultures and perspectives. Every day I’m learning something new, whether it’s through group projects, cultural exchanges, or simply exploring life in Portugal.

I’m truly grateful to IBSU, the International Relations Department, my faculty, and the Erasmus program for their constant support and guidance throughout this process. Taking part in this double degree program is helping me grow both academically and personally, and I’m excited to see how this experience will shape my future.
