Students visited Vocational College “Icaros”
Dean of the School of Law and Public Administration of the International Black Sea University Irakli Shamatava, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Program in Public Administration and Public Administration, Associate Professor Tamar Kakutia, and students of the University’s School of Law and Public Administration visited the Vocational College “Ikaros”, where an external lecture-seminar was held within the framework of “Introduction to Education Policy”.
The Director of the Vocational College Rusudan Chartolan, together with the representatives of the college, gave a tour of the university administration and students of the college building and infrastructure. A lecture-seminar was held at the college, which touched on topical issues of education policy. At the end of the seminar, the students participated in a culinary master class led by a chef.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the program priorities of the Vocational College “Ikaros” and the format of cooperation with the university. As the dean of the school, Irakli Shamatava noted, the main thing in this process is the proper involvement of young individuals, which can also become a determinant for education policy.
More than 80% of college graduates are employed in various specialties. Citizens involved in the program master such specialties that are particularly in demand in the labor market as: restaurant manager, confectioner, culinary specialist, hotel manager, tour operator, jewelry material specialist, hotel manager, bartender, gardener-decorator, restaurant manager, Tbilisi guide, wine guide, sommelier, meat processing and meat product preparation technologist.
