Final tour of the 36th national olympiad of Georgian students in informatics
In partnership and with the support of the International Black Sea University (IBSU), the final round of the 36th National Olympiad of Georgian Students in Informatics (GEOI’2024) was held at IBSU.
The qualifying rounds for the national teams of Georgian students of various ranks will be held on May 26-27.
The girls’ team will participate in the 4th European Girls’ Olympiad (July, Netherlands), the youth team – in the 8th European Youth Olympiad (August, Moldova), and the main team – in the 36th World Olympiad (September, Egypt).
The National Olympiad is organized by the Association for Supporting Information Technology Education and Olympiads in Informatics on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The Olympiad is open to students from public or private schools who are in grades 7-12 as of the current academic year. The Olympiad is held in three age groups: grades 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12.
To participate in the Olympiad, students are required to have knowledge of the basics of algorithmizing and programming (C++). Participants; works will be evaluated using an automated testing program CMS).
The first, online round was already held on April 28, and about 240 students participated in it. For more detailed information about the Olympiad and its rules, see the website: geoi.ge.
