Lecture-Seminar Week of IBSU Academic Writing Center

The Academic Writing Center of International Black Sea University is organizing a lecture-seminar week on May 7-14 on the following issues: “Prevention of Plagiarism, Observance of the Principles of Academic Integrity, Standards of Creating a Scientific Research Paper, and the Correct Use of Artificial Intelligence (Generative Tools) in the Process of Writing a Scientific Paper/Thesis.”

Lectures and Seminars will be led by the Head of IBSU’s Academic Writing Center, Doctor of Education Sciences Mariam Kuchava; and academic staff and invited lecturers of IBSU. Georgian and foreign experts and researchers will discuss actual issues related to the performance of a scientific paper. As a result, the listeners/participants will become aware of the importance of protecting the principles of academic integrity, receive advice on plagiarism prevention mechanisms, and learn about innovations in the example of creating a scientific paper and the proper use of artificial intelligence (generative tools) in the process of working on a thesis. This event will contribute to the development and improvement of academic skills and the prevention of plagiarism. The students and academic/visiting staff of the International Black Sea University have the opportunity to attend lectures and seminars. Participants will be awarded certificates.
