International Public Speaking Competition – ‘So You Think You Can Speak?!’
First, second and third-year law students have participated in a public speaking competition titled “So You Think You Can Speak?!” with support from the IBSU School of Law and State Governance.
The event, supervised by Associate Professor Ekaterine Bakaradze, challenged students to imitate speeches by public officials, figures and civil activists on legal, political and social issues.
The award ceremony was attended by Irakli Shamatava, Dean of the School of Law and State Governance, who emphasised that “the art of public speaking occupies an important place in the legal profession” and pledged continued support for similar initiatives.
Winners were announced across several categories:
- First place: Mariam Saltkhutishvili and Nana Grigolishvili
- Second place: Maia Kobaladze and Natali Beruashvili
- Third place: Samira Kajarli and Irakli Gorgisheli
Kristine Imerlishvili and Gabriel Vasadze were named “Best Public Speakers”.
The competition has been running for many years, providing students with opportunities to develop public speaking skills.
