Public Speaking Competition for Students of the School of Public Administration and State Governance”

A Public Speaking Competition was held at the School of Law and State Governance of IBSU for second-year undergraduate students of the Public Administration and State Governance program.

The students delivered presentations on the art of storytelling, famous public speakers, as well as topics such as body language, gestures, time management, style, dress code etiquette, charismatic, spontaneous and monotone speaking styles, the art of persuasion, argumentation, handling criticism, and other key communication skills.

The Dean of the School, Affiliated Professor Irakli Shamatava, together with the students, selected the first, second, and third-place winners. The remaining participants were awarded certificates for their successful participation in the competition.

1st Place – Natia Tabatadze, Nastia Nakopia
2nd Place – Maka Kobakhidze, Maka Qachiuiri
3rd Place – Mariam Katamidze, Natia Kupatadze

It is important to note that the aim of such competitions is to help students improve their speech composition and delivery, overcome the fear of public speaking, learn to persuade and engage audiences effectively—skills that will benefit them in their future professional careers.
