Head of Foreign Language Center participated in International Conference in Turkey

The head of the IBSU Foreign Language Center, Associate Professor Ekaterine Archvadze participated in the 2nd International Conference “Within and Beyond the Classroom” which was held in Turkey, at Istanbul Technical University. The theme of the conference was “The Future of Language Education: Adapting to a Changing Landscape.”

Ekaterine Archvadze’s research “Developmental Approach to Peer Observation” highlighted the significance of peer observation and how important it is to provide a new perspective on peer observation (PO) in language teaching since not many establishments of higher education adopt PO and are not aware of its possible benefits that enable teachers to modify their teaching practices and generate collegiality.

The 2024 conference invited and hosted presenters to share innovative research findings toward a more dynamic future. The annual conference drew a wide range of speakers from both national and international platforms, fostering in-depth and engaging dialogues through the medium of academic papers. Additionally, it provided insightful keynote presentations, impressive book displays, and abundant chances for building professional connections.
