IBSU hosted the 16th International Silk Road Conference
16th International Silk Road Conference was organized by the International Black Sea University.
The conference, which was held online, was attended by 109 scientists from 20 countries. It was divided into 11 sections where 72 papers have been presented and discussions were held.
The participants of the conference were welcomed at the opening ceremony by the Rector of the International Black Sea University, Prof. Saffet Bayraktutan, Rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University, Prof. Roland Kopaliani, Rector of Kutaisi University, Prof. Gocha Tutberidze, and Vice-Rector of the Georgian National University, Prof. Ana Pirtskhalashvili.
During his welcome speech, the Rector of IBSU, Prof. Saffet Bayraktutan mentioned that the International Black Sea University was pleased to host the 16th International Silk Road Conference, which was held online, due to the pandemic.
“It is gratifying to have so many participants in the conference this year as well, which is so diverse and interesting in content. I hope we will host the conference here, in Tbilisi next year, as usual”- said the rector of IBSU.
The conference’s main speaker, Zwickau University professor, Frank Grimm, talked about software development. As he mentioned, it is really important for non-software developers to know more about this specific topic due to the opportunities that modern technologies and software development provide to the education sector.
The Conference was held online, on October 14-15.
