IBSU participated in a reception held on behalf of the US Embassy
11.12.2022As part of the “Georgian Media Education Program” of the US Embassy, the final meeting and reception was held with the participants of the Chicago exchange program. Within the framework of this project, with the support of the US Embassy, digital media education is being implemented in Georgian universities.
IBSU is the first Georgian university, which introduced the “Digital Media and Communication Master’s Program” 2 years ago, on the analogy of Loyola University of Chicago and with recommendations of the director of the program, Prof. Richelle Rogers. On behalf of IBSU, the reception held on behalf of the embassy was attended by the rector Saffet Bayraktutan and the participants of the Chicago exchange program, the head of the “Digital Media and Communication Master’s Program” Prof. Dali Osepashvili and Alexander Keshelashvili, lecturer of digital media production and design courses.
Among the results of the media education program, one more achievement of IBSU was also mentioned – a small grant of Magda Memanishvili, which, together with several Georgian universities, aimed to increase digital literacy among undergraduates.
