Internal University grant competition results
The results of the first internal university grant competition announced at the International Black Sea University have been identified.
The goal of internal university scientific research grants is to develop the university’s scientific research potential and increase its productivity, as well as stimulate, encourage, and support the scientific activities of academic staff and young researchers.
Grant applications for scientific research projects were submitted through an open competition, which is held twice a year.
Several project applications were submitted within the framework of the competition. As a result of the initial evaluation, after determining compliance with the technical requirements, 8 projects were selected, including according to the following areas:
- Law – 2 projects
- Public Administration – 1 project
- American Studies – 1 project
- Educational Sciences – 1 project
- Computer Sciences – 1 project
- Tourism – 1 project
- International Relations – 1 project
Before implementing further procedures (independent and confidential evaluation of grant applications by external experts), the author of each project application was additionally given a recommendation to clarify certain components of the applications in order to increase the estimated assessment of each project.
After this stage, the projects were sent for evaluation to external experts (field specialists) for independent and confidential evaluation of the applications.
Based on the evaluations of external experts, 2 winning projects were identified:
Direction: Law
Project name: Project for promoting research and training in alternative means of dispute resolution
Direction: Tourism
Project name: Talking Intangible Cultural Heritage of Shida Kartli as Trigger for Tourism Sustainable Development in Communities
