#IBSUAlumni: Elizabet Demurova | Architecture Program (English-taught)

Meet Elizabet Demurova, a proud graduate of the International Black Sea University!
Elizabet turned the knowledge she gained at IBSU into real-life experience – she participated in planning the university’s new library, took part in international architectural projects, and is now continuing her studies at the Politecnico di Milano.

“I am pleased to say that I graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the International Black Sea University (IBSU), where I built a strong foundation in architectural design, urban planning, and sustainable development. During my undergraduate years, I actively participated in various academic projects and workshops that strengthened my understanding of both the artistic and technical aspects of architecture. One of the most formative experiences of my studies was in my third year, when I designed a concept proposal for the new IBSU Library, which was later implemented. Following this project, I had the opportunity to apply my skills to real-world architectural projects, ranging from individual houses to multi-story residential buildings, which enhanced my ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical, functional designs. Another pivotal moment in my academic journey was my participation in a university trip to Florence, where our team represented IBSU by proposing a sustainable revitalization project of the historic Tskaltubo sanatoriums. This experience allowed me to engage with international peers and professionals, broadening my perspective of architecture. Together, these experiences strengthened my skills and provided a solid foundation that motivates me to pursue a Master’s in Urban Design and Architecture at Politecnico di Milano. I am also honored to represent IBSU for the first time within the architectural community of Politecnico di Milano. I believe the program’s rigorous curriculum, international perspective, and emphasis on innovation will provide further opportunities to develop my expertise and enhance my professional growth as an architect.”
