EBRD Georgia

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

EBRD Georgia currently implements DCFTA Adaptation Programme funded by the EU under EU4BUSINESS initiative. The Programme aims improvement of competitiveness of local SMEs and helping them to adapt to the changes and challenges brought by the signing of Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia in 2014.

The Law on Accounting, Reporting and Auditing obliges all Georgian companies (among them SMEs) to prepare financial reports according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and make their accounts public. Recognizing the importance of this legislative change, the EBRD’s SME Finance and Development Group Georgia (SME F&D) conducted 10 trainings in various cities around Georgia.

IBSU invited lecturer, MSc, ACCA Ekaterine Papiashvili, participated in this program as a business advisor and provided trainings for SME business representatives in Zugdidi, Kutaisi and Akhaltsikhe.
