The Youth Summit was established in 2013 and its three primary goals are to:
- Empower youth to explore innovative ideas to tackle development challenges;
- provide youth with the tools to build and engage in impactful projects and;
- promote dialogue between youth, the WBG, and other key stakeholders globally.
This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the WBG Youth Summit will be once again held online and its main theme in 2022 will be Unlocking the Power of Inclusion for Equitable Growth.
At the center of this international event is the 2022 World Bank
Youth Summit Competition, which encourages teams of 1 to 5 individuals aged 18-35 from all around the world to submit their idea proposals for fostering environmental, social, and economic inclusion to help people reach their productive potential and offer a compelling opportunity for growth and development.
Students or student group, who are interested in participating in this competition and encourage them to submit their idea proposals to the WBG Youth Summit 2022 Application Page, no later than March 4th (11:59pm EST).
