On May 14 at 11:00 AM, within the scope of the American Studies program (Fine Arts in Digital Media), students will have an opportunity to attend a meeting with an Italian Social Designer, Zeno Franchini.
Topic: From Post-Industrial to Community Design. How do we relate to material culture today? What does it mean to be a designer in marginalized territories?
Zeno Franchini graduated from Politecnico di Milano and Design Academy of Eindhoven, with an expertise in participatory processes and vernacular culture. As co-founder of Marginal Studio, he focuses on the creation of objects and aesthetics to reinvent traditions and deal with contemporary socio-environmental issues through co-design workshops.
