#GlobalUGRAD: Nino Sisauri | University of South Dakota, U.S.

I am Nino Sisauri, a Bachelor’s student in Business Administration – Finance at the International Black Sea University. I participated in the Global UGRAD 2024-25 exchange program and spent a fall semester at the University of South Dakota, SD, USA. Global UGRAD is a fully funded program by the U.S. Department of State and World Learning and offers a semester in the US of higher education as well as an opportunity for cultural exchange. I cannot be more grateful for how much development and self-awareness this experience brought me. I grew personally since I have made so many international friends, but also within my studies, I foresaw myself in my field and gained some valuable knowledge about my profession. I have been more immersed in accounting during my stay at my host university (USD), and made some connections with my professors, which will help and encourage me for future purposes. Not to forget IBSU, the university which allowed me to continue my studies in the US, also allowed me to transfer some of my credits and not miss a semester, which is a great perk for a student like me. I was the youngest participant for the UGRAD 2024 from Georgia, since I am 18 and a sophomore in the third semester of my bachelor’s degree, and it was a whole new chapter for me in life, but I won’t be stopping here! I am still looking forward to the next mind-blowing adventure!”
