IBSU delegation attended HTWD International Week 2025

Dr. Dara Ahmed, Dean of the IBSU Business School, and Tamar Mshvidobadze, Administrative Manager of the School of Computer Science and Architecture, attended the International Week of the Dresden University of Applied Sciences (HTWD).

The International Week was dedicated to intercultural dialogue, international cooperation, and the university’s active partnership. During the International Week, the host university introduced the campuses with the latest learning resources, engineering and agronomy laboratories, and the university’s scientific inventory to 19 guests invited from 11 partner universities. The guests were also introduced to university life, teaching approaches, and methods. A guided tour of the historic Old Town of Dresden was organised for the guests.

The week’s program included practice-oriented seminars on intercultural communication, scientific communication and environmental technologies, broad cultural programs, etc. The guests attended workshops and presentations in various academic fields.

Dean of the School of Business, Dr. Dara Ahmed, held talks with the Vice Dean of the Business Faculty, Prof. Dr. Stefan Handke, Ms. Juliane Terpe, Head of International Office, Ms. Kate Urban-Greatorex, Andres Heinen, and Stephan Kuhnel from the host university.  They jointly outlined the possibilities of future collaboration in terms of academic and student mobility and joint research activities.

Invited lecturer Tamar Mshvidobadze, Manager of the School of Computer Science and Architecture of the International Black Sea University, met with Mario Neugebauer, Leading Professor-Mentor of the Faculty of Informatics and Mathematics of HTWD University, and Lisa Wunderlich, Representative of the Department of International Relations. They outlined plans and discussed active engagement and exchange programs between the two partner universities in Computer Science and Architecture programs. A visit by HTWD University Professor Mario Neugebauer and several students to the International Black Sea University was planned for the next academic year.
