The head of IBSU Scientific Projects and Innovation Office participated in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)
09.12.2022Head of Scientific Projects and Innovation Office of the International Black Sea University, Horizon Europe National Office NCP (RI) – national contact person in the direction of research infrastructures, at the same time, Deputy Director of Techinform Institute, Ph.D. Marina Razmadze participated in the European Open Science Cloud Symposium 2022, which was held in Prague, Czech Republic.
More than 400 representatives of leading European organizations such as CERN, FAO, ELEXIR, Open AIRE, RDA, EOSC Future Platform and others participated in the event, as well as the ministers of education and science of the Czech Republic, Sweden and France and representatives of the ministry, European commissioners of various directions of the Horizon Europe framework program and others.
At the symposium, Marina Razmadze presented a report on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Techinform Institute. Report Title: “OS & EOSC – Achievements and Future Insights. Experience of Georgia”. During the report, attention was focused on the steps taken by Georgia to promote and popularize open science and the achievements regarding the integration of the country’s scientific organizations with the European open science cloud. The establishment of the Horizon Europe national office in Georgia, establishment of a successful structure and the results achieved over the last year were highlighted. The report also included summarizing the results of the tripartite meeting with the EOSC International Association held at the national level on November 2-4 and presenting the future strategy to the EOSC International Association and the Supervisory Board.
Dr. Marina Razmadze took part in a panel discussion session with the representatives of Greece and Slovenia, which was led by Volker Beckman, the head of the Supervisory Board of the EOSC Association.
