The academic year at the International Black Sea University was opened with the awarding of meritorious professors

The academic year at the International Black Sea University was opened with the awarding of meritorious professors. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nunu Mitskevich attended the event and took part in the awarding ceremony.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science congratulated the professors and students of the International Black Sea University on the start of the new academic year and wished them success in their future activities.

At the event, the International Black Sea University awarded meritorious professors who have more than 20 years of continuous academic activity at the university and the most productive affiliated professors in the scientific activity of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Following professors were awarded in the nomination of meritorious academicians: Professor Natela Dogonadze, Professor Irakli Rodonaia, Professor Tamar Shioshvili, Associate Professor Malkhaz Chakhnashvili.

The following professors were awarded for their successful scientific activity in the nomination “The most productive affiliated professor in the scientific activity of the 2021-2022 academic year”: Associate Professor Azer Dilanchiev, Professor Natela Dogonadze, Associate Professor Metin Merjani, Professor Nika Chitadze and Associate Professor Kakhaber Jakeli.

According to the decision of the governing board of the International Black Sea University, the honorary doctorate was awarded to the invited lecturer of the university, Mikheil Gvatua.

As Dr. Saffet Bayraktutan, the rector of the university mentioned, the university is constantly trying to keep up with modern trends.

“We offer students and academic staff an environment that is adapted to the modern requirements of students, academic staff and young scientists, therefore, in our daily activities, in the process of introducing various services, we try to be guided by the international standards that the world’s educational and scientific community offers today.” – noted the rector.

 

International Black Sea University was founded in 1995. Currently, the university operates 39 English and Georgian-language educational programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.
