IBSU Student Joins the StartMIT Program with Full Funding within the IBSU–MIT Partnership
Within the framework of the partnership between the International Black Sea University and the world’s top-ranked university – the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – Ani Merabishvili, a Computer Science program student, traveled to the United States with full funding to participate in the three-week, practice-based StartMIT entrepreneurship program held at MIT.
“The process unfolded quite unexpectedly. After learning about this opportunity through an IBSU student group, I successfully passed the selection process and was awarded full funding.
As a Computer Science student, MIT represents a place of innovation for me – where technological ideas are transformed into business models.
I have high expectations for this program. First and foremost, my goal is to develop practical skills and refine my startup idea using the world’s leading methodologies. The knowledge I gain about startup development and packaging will help me understand how a technological project turns into a real product that meets market needs.
Working with MIT’s highly qualified mentors will allow me to view my future plans on a much broader scale. I believe this experience will directly impact my startup, which I plan to continue developing in Georgia after my return.
I am confident that I will gain valuable knowledge that I will gladly share with other students and like-minded peers.”
