From the 6th to the 16th of October, 2017, International Black Sea University was hosting Richard Bales – former Dean and currently a professor at Ohio Northern University College of Law. The guest had a meeting with the Rector of IBSU – Prof. Dr. Ilias Chiloglu and the Dean of Law Faculty – Assoc. Prof., Dr. Ekaterine Bakaradze. During the meeting, they discussed topics regarding the structure of the university, specificity of the programs existing at the faculties of the university.

As a part of his visit, on the 12th of October, professor Bales delivered a public lecture in the field of Labor Law. The event was organised by the Law Faculty, in the frame of Legal Clinic, and it aimed to encourage and implement experimental and contemporary means of teaching. The public lecture was concentrated on high activity of the audience, which was induced by specially created imitated, stressful environment. We should mention, that these kind of seminars, along with enhancing theoretical knowledge of the students, facilitate forming practical skills. The students had the opportunity to independently challenge the difficulties, experience the peculiarities of the American model of collective labor negotiations. The audience was consisting of students from IBSU Law Faculty, as well as of other faculties of the university.
