Dr. Nino Gamsakhurdia is an Associate Professor at the International Black Sea University (IBSU), specializing in American Studies. She received her Doctorate  in American Studies with  honours ‘Summa Cum Laude’ from IBSU in 2010.

Dr. Gamsakhurdia’s research focuses primarily on African American history, culture, and integration, which is highlighted in her doctoral thesis, “Analytical Approach to the Evolution of African American Integration in the United States in the Second Half of the 20th Century that Paved the Way to the Obama Miracle.”  However her research  interests also include  American Popular Culture, American Media and Popular Culture, American music and Popular culture.
