 Professor Dr. Tamar Shioshvili – Dean of the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences since 2006, founder and head of the American studies programs since 2002, after having attended programs funded by the United States government in the states – (“Design of the American Studies Curriculum, International Visitor) and “Fulbright Scholar” (George Washington University, in Washington). She has a doctoral dissertation in the lexicology of the English language.

Before the Black Sea International University, she worked for 18 years at the Tbilisi University of Foreign Languages ​​and Culture, now Iliauni, at the Romance-Germanic Philology Department, where she read English language lexicology, English theoretical grammar, English theoretical phonetics. She has published 62 publications, she has written the book “American Culture and Society”, which she is still reading in the third year of the BA program. She has participated in international conferences – Barcelona, ​​Spain; New York – USA. She completed an internship at the University of Leeds, Great Britain.
