Tea Chumburidze

Affiliated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tea Chumburidze defended her doctoral dissertation in the field of American History in 2017; from 2019 to present she has been holding the position of Affiliated Associate Professor at the International Black Sea University.

She has published 34 scientific articles in both locally refereed and internationally indexed, refereed scientific journals.

In 2023, within the framework of the Erasmus + exchange program, she delivered a course of lectures about Georgian-Polish relations at the undergraduate level at the University of Wroclaw, (Poland).

In 2023, she participated and presented a paper in the international scientific conference held in Athens, Greece, which is indexed in the Scopus database.

Under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tea Chumburidze, a dissertation on the topic: “The Impact of American Diplomacy in Maintaining the Sustainability of Democracy in Georgia (1992-2022) (The Case of the American Embassy in Tbilisi)” was defended in December 2024. 

She is currently supervising three PhD dissertations.
