First-year MA students of IBSU’s Digital Media and Communication program started an online exchange program with DePaul University students in Chicago. Within the five-week collaboration, students will analyze American and Georgian media using the content analysis method. The initiative will assist students in building intercultural abilities in addition to practical skills. The DePaul University Center

IBSU lecturer Nato Pachuashvili conducted a workshop on “Go Online: Boosting Interaction Using Digital Tools.” The workshop participants were introduced to digital devices that provide a powerful interactive environment for students. Nato Pachuashvili also spoke about the importance of interactive digital learning resources needed for teaching English as a foreign language.
On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, IBSU MA Students of the Digital Media and Communication program, Avtandil Zarnadze and Mariam Bibilashvili participated in media attaché John Ferri-led event, organized by U.S. Embassy in Georgia. To celebrate International English Language Day, the IBSU language club Lingo Quest held another educational and entertaining game called Lingodyssey, with IBSU students and English Philology program lecturers participating in it. The Debate and Critical Discussion Club and the American Studies Student’s Union organized a bilingual event dedicated to Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). Head of the English Philology BA Program, Assoc. Prof. Maia Chkotua gave a workshop on 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿. As part of the workshop, students learned how to prepare a conference article. This included writing a title, abstract, structure, and list of used literature in APA7 style.
IBSU hosted school students from Tbilisi and Georgian regions as part of the Journalism For School Students project.
