10th International Research Conference on American Studies

The 10th International Research Conference on American Studies dedicated to the 25th anniversary of US-Georgia diplomatic relations held at the International Black Sea University on November 20, 2017 was opened by the United States Ambassador in Georgia Ian Kelly. Among guests were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Four Americans together with thirty-five participants presented very interesting and diverse topics on U.S. culture, politics, literature, women’s studies, education, history, art and economics entailed by the fact that the English American Studies program at IBSU is multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary.

The opening part was complemented by the performance of the Tbilisi Big Band as Jazz is the integral part of the American culture.
