7th International Conference on American Studies

The U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Richard Norland & the Cultural Attaché James Dewey of the U.S. Embassy visited the 7th annual International American Studies Research Conference of the Faculty of Education & Humanities, on November 5, 2014 at the International Black Sea University. The Ambassador addressed the participants of the conference & students with a thoroughly informative speech. Welcome speeches were made by the Rector, Prof. Ilyas Chiloglu, the Dean of the Faculty of Education & Humanities Prof. Tamar Shioshvili, and Professor of the American Studies Giorgi Mchedlishvili. The key speaker Tarra Kelly from the U.S. presented the topic: FRIENDS of the Upper East Side Working Together to Save New York City’s Culturally Significant Buildings.
