Books collected at International Black Sea University were handed over to the school of the Sno village, Kazbegi district.
Students and teachers of the Journalism BA program organized the event as an educational expedition. The invited lecturer of the Journalism BA program, Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Olgha Tsiskarishvili-Soselia, took ‘Photojournalism’ and ‘Covering Social Issues’ students to the village to introduce them to the problems facing the highland region. During the visit, students recorded audio and video interviews, took photos, and collected materials for stories.
The public school of Sno, named after Vazha-Pshavela was founded in 1902. Newly built public and private schools also function in the surrounding villages; however, Sno’s School has a loyal contingent of teachers and pupils, maintaining the oldest educational institution in the Kazbegi district.
