Journalism BA program students attended a simulated process of the Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics at IBSU. The Charter representatives mentored the simulated process and demonstrated a controversial story aired on one of the TV channels.
The guests were divided into three groups: one defended the complainant’s interests, another represented the interests of the TV station, and the third adapted to the responsibilities of the Charter members and reached a reasoned conclusion.
The participant students strengthened their professional values, such as the protection of truth and accuracy, the obligation to verify facts with many sources, and maintain
balance.
