Student Conference “Contemporary International Relations: Regions, Actors, Challenges”

International Black Sea University Programme of International Relations in cooperation with Free University School of International Relations organizes Student Conference “Contemporary International Relations: Regions, Actors, Challenges”.

The conference will be held at the International University of the Black Sea on December 20.

The goal of the event is to share knowledge and experience among universities students, to encourage research on contemporary international relations issues, and to promote the development of research skills.

Undergraduate and graduate students of International Relations programmes at the International Black Sea University and the Free University can participate.

Participants can present thesis on current issues in international relations, such as key actors in international politics, challenges in different regions, issues of political economy and diplomatic statecraft, international organizations, international security, conflicts, and more.

Working languages of the conference: Georgian and English.

To participate, applicants must submit an extended abstract and a registration form by December 6^th, 23:55 local time.

The conference will have two sections, the topics will be determined according to the submitted papers. 10-15 minutes will be allotted for the thesis presentation, with an additional question and answer session. Speakers must present a bibliography list in APA style; it is possible to use PowerPoint if necessary. Jury which consists of experienced field specialists will choose the best work from each of the sections author(s) of which will be awarded with 100GEL present card and gifts from partner universities.

Extended Abstract Criteria:

300-400 words, should include the research topic, purpose, goals, and main findings. (Program of the conference and abstracts will be published).
