World Read Aloud Day


In regarding to World Read Aloud Day the IBSU Library, in cooperation with the Georgian Association of Book Publishers and Distributors, hosted an event “Reat Aloud at IBSU”.

The guest of the event was Nana Abuladze, IBSU graduate; The winner of SABA 2021 in the category of Best Literary Debut of the Year. Nana’s debut novel “Acum” was published in 2020 by the publishing house “Intellect”.

The author talked about her novel, sources of inspiration, and feedback from literary critics. She read aloud several pages of her book, and then answered questions from the audience.

It has been 13 years since LitWorld founded the World Read Aloud Day. Georgia joined this event for the seventh time this year. In more than 170 countries around the world, millions of people are united around a common slogan: “Read aloud, change the world!”
