IBSU is launching a joint project together with the Office of the Independent Inspector

International Black Sea University will implement joint educational projects with the Office of the Independent Inspector. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University and the Office of the Independent Inspector signed by the IBSU Rector Saffet Bayraktutan and the Independent Inspector of the High Council of Justice Zurab Aznaurashvili.

According to the Rector of the University, joint educational projects are planned together with the Office of the Independent Inspector, which will help our law students in developing their practical skills and deepen theoretical knowledge in law.

“I am glad that we started cooperation. For students of the Faculty of Law of the International Black Sea University, this means a great experience. They will have the opportunity to attend trainings and participate in other joint activities,” said Saffet Bayraktutan.

According to Ketevan Kokrashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Law, the memorandum signed with the Office of the Independent Inspector offers new opportunities to IBSU law students:

“We will have joint theoretical and practical activities, including public lectures, trainings, master classes, mock trials, visits to the Supreme Court, and meetings with judges. Our cooperation with the service of an independent inspector as an employer is also a very important aspect of this agreement. Our students will do internship with them and successful ones will have an opportunity to be employed”

According to Zurab Aznaurashvili, Independent Inspector of the High Council of Justice, correct delivery of information on disciplinary proceedings towards judges to students is very important for them to acquire theoretical knowledge and improve practical skills in the future. “To achieve this goal, we signed a memorandum today, which I am sure is the beginning of a successful cooperation,”

The Office of the Independent Inspector is an independent body that regulates disciplinary proceedings in the judiciary.
