International Black Sea University is accredited and authorized higher education institution in Georgia, and offers 26-degree programs in English in three cycles: first (bachelor’s), second (master’s) and third (Ph.D.) in education and humanities, computer technologies and engineering, business management, and social sciences.

Rules for enrollment of international students

For degree seeking students
To apply to study at IBSU, please fill out the electronic application form and send it along with
additional documents to our email address admissions@ibsu.edu.ge:- Copy of passport (notarized and translated into Georgian)
- School graduation certificate/Bachelor’s diploma/Master’s diploma (notarized and translated into Georgian)
- Marksheet (notarized and translated into Georgian)
- Resume (CV) and cover letter
- International certificate of English language (IELTS – 6.0; TOEFL – 78) or other
- A certificate of B2 level recognized accordingly (for those bachelors who have graduated in English, as well as for masters and doctors who have completed a higher education program in English, providing a certificate is not mandatory, however those who do not have certificate are obliged to take IBSU organised test).
- In case of international degree mobility (transfer), the applicant is obliged to submit an enrollment order from the university where he/she is enrolled Photo (3×4)
Please see IBSU schools and programs at the following link: (IBSU Schools & Programs) After sending the documents, a representative of the International Relations Department of IBSU will schedule an online interview for you, after successful completion of which you will pay the application fee to the University Account (request at admissions@ibsu.edu.ge).
After the applicant’s documents are sent by the representative of IBSU to the National Center for the Education Quality Enhancement and the applicant is notified of the response from the center, the applicant will pay the tuition fee and receive the letter of enrollment from IBSU.

Student Residence Permit
In order to study in Georgia, a student must apply for a residence permit at the Services Development Agency within the first 3 months after arriving in Georgia. (see link: https://sda.gov.ge/).
Residence permit registration fee:
30th calendar day – 300 GEL
20th calendar day – 450 GEL
10th calendar day – 600 GELApplicants will have to visit the Public Service Hall personally to submit all the required documents.

Visa Information
To study in Georgia, the applicant must already be enrolled in the International Black Sea University. To get a visa, the applicant must fill in an appropriate application (see the link https://mfa.gov.ge). Citizens of EU countries can start the mentioned procedure at the Georgian embassy in their own countries or after arriving in Georgia.
