About Program

The aim of the educational program is to prepare highly qualified personnel with basic theoretical knowledge and skills important to the profession of architect. The skills mentioned above imply the ability of graduates to analyze identifying characteristic of design area, make sketches and professional architectural project using existing building regulations.

The program aims to provide students not only with theoretical knowledge, but with practical experience as well by supporting them organize internships in different enterprises. Having a practical experience besides theoretical knowledge is critically important to meet contemporary requirements of today’s competitive market; Another aim of the program is to provide students with communication, intellectual and interpersonal relation development skills;

The Program of Architecture implies to ensure proper conditions for education that enables students to use all the opportunities offered by the program. All these above promote students’ professional development and growth.

The purpose of the Program is to prepare student to continue study in the next step – in Master level, be a demanding specialist and well-employed in the labor market.

Admission

According to Georgian law, passing Unified National Exams is required to be admitted to the educational program. An undergraduate student can be anyone having a secondary education. Admission to the educational program without passing the Unified National Examinations is possible only in the cases envisaged by the legislation of Georgia. The main subjects to be passed are the Georgian language and English language. The third subject is Mathematics or Physics. The minimum competency level for the English language: 50%+1.

Note: International applicants are admitted to the program by the rules set by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Georgia (detailed information is available at https://ibsu.edu.ge/iro/admission/).

Creative Contest

The creative selection process will consist of two stages: portfolio submission (uploading/sending) and a creative interview.

Stage 1: Portfolio Submission

The candidate must present a creative portfolio, which may include:

  • Drawings, paintings, and sketches;
  • Photos of models or handmade works;
  • Photo or video projects;
  • Any work that demonstrates their creativity, spatial perception, and hands-on skills.

Stage 2: Creative Interview

Candidates selected based on their portfolios will undergo a 15-20 minute interview with the jury, which includes:

  • Discussion of the submitted portfolio;
  • A short graphic task: the candidate will complete an on-the-spot visual assignment within 10 minutes. This task is given in advance without prior knowledge and evaluates spatial perception, graphic expression skills, and creative problem-solving.

Assessment System:

  • Maximum score: 100 points;
  • Score distribution: Portfolio – 30 points; Interview and graphic task – 70 points;
  • Threshold: To receive a passing evaluation, the candidate must score at least 41% of the total.

Dates:

Creative interviews will be held on June 24, 25, and 26.
The deadline for portfolio submission is June 21.

Tuition Fees

For entrants who are enrolled via Unified National Exams: 5990 GEL
For entrants who are not enrolled via Unified National Exams: 4900 USD, Scholarship Up to 1000 USD.
