IBSU Hosted Dr. Alexander Neske from the University of Applied Sciences of West Saxony

The School of Computer Science and Architecture of the International Black Sea University hosted Dr. Alexander Neske from the West Saxony University of Applied Sciences.

As part of the visit, Alexander Neske held a public lecture on sustainable digital and business transformation for the school’s academic staff and students.

A separate session included a workshop and seminar on the topic: “Sustainability and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) – within the framework of the Ecodesign Regulation (ESPR) for environmentally sustainable products”. The seminar was about the new EU regulation, which is an integral part of the modern circular economy.

The meeting was held in an interactive format with the active involvement of students and academic staff. Two teams of computer science students worked on developing practical projects, after which the participants presented their works and held a discussion.

The students’ works were highly appreciated. The participants received valuable recommendations and professional advice from representatives of the field and experts.

Within the framework of the visit, Alexander Neske, together with the program director, Professor Nikoloz Abzianidze, planned a future visit in the fall of this year, which will include a more intensive program. It was also planned to jointly supervise bachelor’s theses in the future and implement various projects in collaboration with IBSU students.

At the end of the visit, the representative of the Department of International Relations, Ms. Medina Mamedova, presented the guest with symbolic gifts on behalf of the university.
