IBSU hosted the Administrative Law Forum

The Forum of Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession was organized by the Center for the Development of the Legal Profession and the International Black Sea University.

Participants of the forum were welcomed by the Rector of the International Black Sea University, Mr. Saffet Bayraktutan. A memorandum of cooperation was signed today, between the university and the organization “Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession”.

Important and problematic issues of administrative law were discussed at the forum, including the use of interim and administrative measures during administrative proceedings and the settlement of disputes related to the registration of real estate.

The first session was chaired by Khatia Ardazishvili, a judge of the Administrative Cases Chamber of the Tbilisi Court of Appeals, who spoke about the issues and challenges of administrative proceedings in court.

The second session of the forum was held by the Judge of the Supreme Court of Georgia,

Tamar Okropiridze, who introduced the participants to the problematic issues related to real estate registration disputes.

The event was attended by members of the Georgian Bar Association, practicing lawyers, and public officials interested in administrative law issues.
