Registration for the graduate school programs has begun

Registration for Master / Doctoral candidates has started at the International Black Sea University in order to obtain the right to study.

What are the procedures and conditions for admission to the master’s and doctoral programs?
The school principal Ilyas Ustunyer answers the questions:

– Do candidates have to register electronically before applying to the IBSU Graduate School?

Yes, electronic registration is done at the corresponding link, from August 26 to September 11. Registration link: . Applications can be submitted to the University from August 30.

– Which master’s and doctoral programs are there at the university and what is their tuition fee?

There are 11 master’s and 4 doctoral programs in the university. These are:

Master’s programs

Marketing – 4500 GEL
US Foreign Relations – 3540 GEL
Education Management (Georgian Sector) – 3540 GEL
Finances (Georgian Sector) – 4500 GEL
Digital Media and Communication – 3750 GEL
Management – 4500 GEL
International Relations – 4200 GEL
Computer Science – 3540 GEL
Education Management (English Sector) – 3540 GEL
Finances (English Sector) – 4500 GEL
Comparative Commercial Law (Georgian with English components)- 4500 GEL

Doctoral programs

Education Sciences – 3540 GEL
American Studies – 3540 GEL
Business Administration – 4500 GEL
Computer Science – 3540 GEL

– What benefits do the candidates have?

– One-year tuition fee for the university graduates for master’s programs is 2500 GEL, while for doctoral students there is a 25% discount. As for graduates of other higher education institutions, they can get a 20% discount on master’s programs if they register by September 7 via the link:

– Which documents must be submitted by the candidates?

  1. Application form (see file) (You must download, complete and submit the application form with other documents);
  2. Copy of passport, if not a passport, copy of an ID card;
  3. A notarized copy of the document certifying higher education, or a certificate of an appropriate degree issued by the relevant higher education institution; Document recognizing education received abroad.
  4. Diploma Supplement, in the absence of such, a notarized copy of the marksheet;
  5. Copy of Unified  Master Exam Card (for Master Applicants);
  6. Document certifying military registration of a person;
  7. Two photos, With e-version (CD);
  8. CV in Georgian and English;
  9. Research Proposal – (Only for doctoral candidates).

Candidates must submit the above documents in hard copy (indicated documents must be notarized) from August 30 to September 11. Also, it is necessary to consider that incompletely submitted documents will not be accepted!

– How and when will the admission exams for the master’s programs be held?

The questions for the entrance exams for the master’s programs are published on the university website (see the questions here). As for the condition of admission to doctoral programs, candidacy for doctoral programs is based on English language test (as needed) and interview. At the interview, the candidate must present the Research Proposal to the Commission in the form of a presentation.

Postgraduate entrance exams will be held at the University on September 14-16.
