On 12 December 2019, the European Union Monitoring Mission held a public lecture on the International Relations Program at the International Black Sea University. The lecture was delivered by Catherine Fearon, Deputy Head of Mission.

During the lecture, the speaker discussed interesting and important topics such as:
• Importance and a short history of EUMM;
• Activities of the EUMM;
• Works carried out within the mandate and future plans.

At the end of the lecture, the mission representative also answered the students’ questions, mainly about the involvement of the mission in the ongoing processes and the fate of the citizens imprisoned in the occupied territory.

EUMM has been conducting a cycle of public lectures for students of Georgian higher education institutions for three years. The purpose of the cycle is to raise awareness on the EU and EU mandate and to engage young people.
