IBSU Academic Staff Participated in an Erasmus+ Mobility Visit to Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE)
From May 3 to 9, 2026, three academic staff members from the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at International Black Sea University participated in an academic mobility visit to Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary, within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
The delegation included the Head of the Teacher Education Program, Professor Maia Chkotua, and Affiliated Associate Professors Irma Mesiridze and Mariam Merkviladze. During the visit, they held working meetings with Hungarian colleagues, aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation, sharing pedagogical experience, and discussing prospects for future collaboration.
As part of the academic mobility, the delegation members conducted professional consultations with ELTE academic staff, where they discussed contemporary approaches to teacher education and directions for the development of educational programs. During the visit, they attended undergraduate classes and delivered lectures to students of the Primary and Preschool Education programs.
The visit made a significant contribution to familiarizing the participants with innovative teaching methods and further strengthening academic cooperation between the two universities. In addition, this activity supports the internationalization process of International Black Sea University and promotes deeper international academic dialogue in the field of teacher education.
