Statement by the International Black Sea University regarding the teaching format

International Black Sea University welcomes the statement of the Council for Interagency Coordination of the Government of Georgia of September 28, 2021 regarding the formulation of the teaching format.

Creating a safe environment for students and academic staff is a top priority for the University. To this end, 97% of IBSU academic and administrative staff are fully vaccinated.

In order to ensure a safe environment and to resume teaching in auditoriums, it is also important that at least 70% of students are vaccinated, so we once again urge students to get vaccinated and take care of each other and the health of academic staff. Since currently the number of vaccinated students across the country is low, the teaching format for the 2021-2022 academic year fall semester at the International Black Sea University will be conducted remotely.

While the university is ready to resume study in auditoriums, it will carefully monitor the epidemiological situation in the country and the rate of students’ vaccination. Accordingly, the study process will resume in the auditoriums from the spring semester of the current academic year.
