Basic Design

 

 

Trainer: Mariam Vakhtangishvili

A junior year student of the BA Program in Architecture at the Faculty of Business and Technologies. Is one of the students with the highest GPA in her group.

Course aim:

This course teaches the basics of design in architecture and elementary fundamentals that help to start the designing process. Basic design also stimulates thinking processes and can be really handy while designing. It also promotes a creative and experimental methodology which helps develop learning style and cognitive skills with respect to fundamental principles of design. After the course, participants will be able to design everything they have in mind that later might be architectural concepts. Participants investigate form and the delineation of space within a two-dimensional field.

 

Subject covered:

  • Principles of Basic Design and their importance;
  • Elements of Basic Design;
  • How the different elements of design affect to the 2 and 3 dimensions;
  • How to use drawing tools;

 

Language instruction: Georgian

Target group:   9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders interested in this topic are eligible for this course.
